"Gatherings" - Sponsors' Space

This space was known as the "Sponsor Space" or "Sponsor Booth" in the ecosystem of virtual spaces of the "Gatherings" VR platform. Though originally much bigger in scale and envisioned as a space for collaboration between different teams of people, the design was repurposed and scalled down, with the discrete 'collaboration zones' to the sides turned into booths that can be used as virtual sponsor booths by clients during virtual events.

A number of assets and architectural elements of the space were reconfigured to be brandable by the client to ensure maximum customisation, including the skybox used. In these screenshots, the space is configured to the branding assets and colours of Morningstar, one of the clients to have used "Gatherings".

This space was collaboratively created by the art team at Mesmerise, and credit is shared with all members. I was closely involved in the design and concepting of this space, both during its original phase as a collaboration space, and during its repurposing into a sponsor hosting space. I was responsible for the layout of the level and its semi-outdoor character, and I designed, modelled, and textured the roof, upper windows, and lighting fixture in this space, in addition to supporting work and optimisation of all other aspects of the environment.
