This environment was slated to be the 'Flagship' virtual space of the "Gatherings" Virtual Reality Platform. It was unfortunately not completed before the project was put on ice. These images represent the most advanced state the space ever reached. This environment was developed for the Oculus Quest 2 headset, and was optimised to hold up to 150 unique users at any given point in time, with full co-presence and interactivity.
I worked on creating this environment along with the rest of the Mesmerise art team, as well as people from Atmospheric Studio. Be the end of the project we had all gone through every aspect of the space as part of a closely collaborative workflow. However, I myself was primarily responsible for the modelling and texturing of all the flooring, the Amphitheatre's walls and architectural elements, the vegetation, and part of the terrain texturing. I was also closely involved in the preproduction stage with reference gathering, concepting, and initial design iterations.
